Book Signing: Italian American

The Rito family is excited to announce the publication of the new cookbook “Italian American,” co-authored by Angie Rito and Scott Tacinelli, the husband-and-wife chef team of critically acclaimed Don Angie in New York City’s West Village. Angie Rito is the granddaughter of Santo Rito, owner of Rito’s Bakery, who got her introduction to the food service industry by working at the bakery in her teenage years.

Words can’t explain our extreme pride in what her accomplishments mean to our family.

In “Italian American,” Angie and Scott reinvigorate the genre with a modern point of view that proudly straddles the line between Italian and American. They present classic recipes passed down through generations side-by-side with creative spins and riffs inspired by influences both old and new. Full of family history and recipes that will inspire a new generation, Italian American provides an essential, spirited introduction to an unforgettable way of cooking.

Please join us in our celebration!

Angie and Scott will be at Rito’s Bakery on Saturday, November 27 from 11am to 2pm to sign copies of their cookbook.

Books will be available for sale and we will be serving complimentary prosecco cocktails, coffee, cannoli and other pastries. Reserve a book and RSVP to the event by speaking with a sales associate or signing up online.
